Frequently Asked Questions
- Do you take new patients? Yes. We owe our success in large part to our highly satisfied patients who refer family and friends to our office.
- Do you see emergencies? Yes. We make every effort to see emergencies as soon as possible. Call us early and we will schedule you at our first available time. Most emergencies are seen the same day.
- Do you accept my insurance? Yes. As a courtesy to you we will accept payment from all major insurance companies. We ask that you pay your portion at the time of service. We are preferred providers of Delta, Dentemax, and Anthem 200 & 300.
- Do you offer payment plans? Yes. We offer Capital One and Care Credit financing. These plans have convenient no initial payment and low monthly payment. We also give discounts - see our financial policy page.
- Do you accept credit cards? Yes. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover.
- How can I fix cracked, crooked teeth without braces? Many cracked or crooked teeth can be covered with tooth colored ceramic crowns ( full tooth coverage), or facial porcelain veneers (covers front of tooth only) to give you a beautiful smile.
- Do you whiten (bleach) teeth? Yes. We have several different options. 1) we can do a chairside bleach (1 hour bleaching) in our office. 2) We can provide you with trays, so you can do bleaching at home..... this is less expensive. 3) We can do internal bleaching if you have a root canal tooth that is discolored.
- At what age should I bring my child for his/her first visit? We would like to see your child around 18 months of age.... just for a simple exam. We can determine if teeth are beginning to erupt properly. At 2-3 years of age we will be able to do a more thorough exam (depending upon the cooperation of child of course) and in most cases can introduce them to dental hygiene.
- Is it safe for pregnant women to have dental treatment? Yes. Pregnant women can have dental treatment and x-rays. We would routinely postpone most elective dental treatment until after childbirth.....however in an emergency dental treatment can be done safely. Your OBGYN will not want you on any drugs unless absolutely necesary. We will consult with them on an individual case by case basis. X-rays are so low dose nowdays that there is really no need to worry about them during pregnancy. We always provide a lead apron for all patients during x-rays.
- Do you do implants? Yes. Implants offer the best restorative choice. It is the restoration that is the most similar to natural teeth. It is also the most conservative because there is no need to drill on the neighboring teeth. Just place a man made artificial tooth root and cover with a crown. They can also be placed to aid in the retention of a denture.
- Do you offer senior citizens discounts? Yes for our patients over the age of 65 we offer a 10% discount.
- What are your sterilization procedures? First of all Dr. Kelley and his entire staff take all the necessary precautions to guarantee safety in the workplace. This includes the use of glove, masks, and eyewear. We exercise the standard of care set forth by the American Dental Association, Occupational safety and health association and Center for disease control to minimize potential disease tranmission and cross contamination. After each visit all instruments and handpieces are heat sterilized, all surfaces are chemically treated to kill bacteria and viruses.
